Today we spent a whole day visiting Angkor Wat Temple, a famous temple in the World. Angkor Wat was recorded as World Heritage and listed by UNESCO. Besides Angkor Wat. Then continue to Angkor Thom’s famous South Gate and Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. From the Bayon Temple continue on foot to the Baphuon Temple, recently re-opened to the public, where you will pass by the Wooden Royal Palace. Then continue to the Terrace of the Elephants before lunch.

Lunch is Khmer-style in a local community restaurant. Regain your energy enjoying a sumptuous Khmer feast near Sras Srang, the Royal Pool of Ablutions, originally reserved for the king and his consorts.

After lunch, we will continue our day tour by visiting the beautiful Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) temple, which was made famous by Angelina Jolie, of course. Feel like one of the early explorers as you visit this temple which has been left to be reclaimed by the jungle.

If time permits we’ll finish the day climbing one of the oldest buildings in the Angkor complex, the brick pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.
