Tonle Sap Lake and Floating Village Tour

The day begins with a journey through the countryside to Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Take a boat trip around the lake to see floating villages and get a taste for life ruled by monsoonal rains and water-based agriculture. The lake is one of the worldā€™s most productive bodies of fresh water, attracting millions of fish and water birds. After the boat trip, take the back roads back to town and witness seasonal agricultural activities like cricket catching, rice planting and harvesting, smoking fish, and prohoc making (fish paste). Stop at a local village to pick up Khmer snacks (Optional) and explore how local community sell their products. Before returning to town, visit a Buddhist monastery to learn about the local culture and religion.
